How do I begin to describe my love affair Prawn Mee @ Factory Food Court? The prawn mees that I have taken so far all had soups that were really salty and gave you that impression that lots of MSG was used. This one is different. This one had an unique taste which I initially could not identify. I just knew that is was a spectacularly pleasing taste and it wasn't predominantly MSG. It was one of those flavours that you really can't put your finger on, but you know that you have tasted it before

Conclusion
We have a winner! This prawn mee soup stands one head above the rest because of that unique taste. I have been thinking about it everyday since I ate it last week and even made a trip back this week.

The best prawn mee in town!!!

Came by recently for a quick lunch as I was rushing. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice, and luckily it did not take long to arrive. I find that the Thai fried rice here is a little too oily and maybe this caused the rice to be not very fluffy. This dish has a minimal amount of ingredients, and they only give some vegetables, a few pieces of sliced chicken, chopped long beans and chilli. The rice has a little sourish taste and it is very spicy as well.I do not really like this dish, and will not orde

One of the few options for lunch would be Factory Food Court at USJ 1. As I was rushing for time, The Loh Mee stall is a good bet that the food will arrive fast.Within 5 minutes, a piping hot bowl of Loh Mee arrives. The Loh Mee gravy is quite thick and although it tastes a little too bland for my liking. The noodles are smooth and soft to the bite. It comes with a quarter of a boiled egg, minced steam chicken with a healthy dose of bean sprouts. I did not enjoy the fried onion that much as it was too chewy, indicating that it is not fresh anymore.

Nothing special about this Loh Mee, except for the quick service.

Factory food court is one of my frequent lunch eats and here I am again choosing my selection of hawker stall food. The kolo mee caught my eyes as I see a few black bowls here and there on the table. I ordered a big one and it came within minutes. The noodles were supple with the right amount of grease. It tasted pretty good together with sliced bbq pork. Normally kolo mee comes with minced meat but this one comes with diced meat which brings a chunkier mouthful. Kinda like the difference! Good

Ordered the satay recently at factory food court. I ordered the satay because I felt like having more meat in my dinner. It took quite some time to arrive, long after I finished my noodles. It could be because of the large crowd that day. The satay came smoking hot, which is a good sign because it's freshly made. I ordered 10 beef satay. From the first look of the satay it looked delicious. It was a little burnt which is exactly what I would like from my satay. However, after a few bites I reali

I ordered 10 beef satay. From the first look of the satay it looked delicious. It was a little burnt which is exactly what I would like from my satay.
However, after a few bites I realised that the satay was too chewy for me. Perhaps it was because there's a lot of fat in the satay. The peanut sauce was quite good, a little spicy and a generous amount of peanut sauce.

Basically it did satisfy my need for meat.

It did not take long to arrive, despite the crowd in the food court. This prawn noodle has been garnished with a lot of fried shallots which gives it a nice aroma to it. They were generous to give 2 pieces of quarter egg. Of course, there are prawns as well, although it was quite small, at least they were fresh prawns and not the preserved dried ones.
There is also some sliced pork added to the bowl, to complete the entire meal. However, I did not really like this prawn mee as the broth was quite diluted, making it quite tasteless except that it was salty. The chilli paste that came along with it helped a little, but it still does not taste that good.

Perhaps I'll try another stall next time.

I ordered the roasted chicken + bbq pork combination, as it is among one of my regular ones to order. The chicken is roasted nicely with some crispiness on its skin. Surprisingly, it is smooth underneath the skin. As a nutshell, it is quite tasty.

The same cannot be said for the cha siu. The caramel sauce is a bit bland, as it is was diluted with water. The cha siu has no fat to it, which is not what I would want in a cha siu. I always like my cha siu with semi fat to it, as it is usually smoother that way.

As a conclusion, the chicken rice is decent especially the roasted chicken.
