The restaurant is rather quite during lunch time therefore our foods were served fast. We have Prawn Noodle and Lemon Chicken Chop Rice for our lunch today. This is the set lunch which comes with drinks, I have picked Ice Cincau and Soya for my friend.

Prawn Noodle was smells good upon serving, decent portion with standard condiment such as hard boiled egg, sliced fish cakes, Kangkung, shrimp and fried shallot. I opt for Mee Hoon as I dislike yellow mee. The soup was good, sweetness is there, mild spicy and strong prawn aroma. This is satisfying though.

Ice Cincau was served cold and lightly sweeten. Cincau was thinly sliced and it was chewy as well.

Lemon Chicken Chop Rice, consist of Deep fried Chicken Chop, Sunny side up, piece of tomato & cucumber. Lemon sauce is served in separate bowl to preserve the crispiness of the chicken chop. They are using chicken thigh to prepare the chop therefore the meat was very tender. Lemon sauce was tasted a bit sour and sweet. My friend choose to eat the chicken chop without dipping the sauce as she said the chicken chop was taste good to eat as is.

If you're craving for authentic Penang Food, do pay Lorong Seratus Tahun a visit. At Scotts Garden, it's located at the end lot of one corner on the ground floor, directly facing the main road. As such, it's easily visible. But with only fans (no air-cond) it comes sometimes get quite stuffy and hot! But if you're here mainly for the food, it's worth it. I especially love their signature curry mee, prawn mee, char kuey teow, rojak and chee cheong fun. Definitely up to par with Penang's standards

Especially the chee cheong fun and rojak's sweet chilli sauce - authentically delicious! yums! The char kuey teow is also up to standards. Sadly their assam laksa fell a bit short....

you can just park at tesco there so its not so hard to find parking anyway, but the place was a little bit small though and its quite hot.

After finish meeting up my client, i walked into this restaurant to have my lunch. I ordered my favourite food asam laksa. It's kind of disappointed, as the asam laksa is doesn't taste really nice as it looks. The soup is not really thick , is slightly watery. this bowl of assam laksa is comes with fish, sliced onion, pineapple, cucumber and mint leaves. Everything is ok except the soup. Although i add in all the hae ko ( thick sweet shrimp paste ), the soup is still doesn't taste nice.

I hope they are seriously practicing the above as I do not find the quality of taste with the price is justifiable.

We ordered the side dish, Lor Bak set, cost RM9.50. Enjoyed it, not because of the food it tasty but "missing Penang food" is more likely and the price do not really justified with the cost of the ingredients.

Further, paying such price and dining in a non air-con area, wholly on ceiling fan is certainly very warm and stuffy in particular, during day time.

3-colour Tea, cost RM4.50 and Penang Chee Cheong Fun, cost RM4.50. The 3-colour Tea contained tea, milk and Gula Melaka which is also known as 3-layer Tea.

Improvement on the taste of the 3-colour Tea is certainly required, do not taste much of the tea nor the Gula Melaka as I have tried the authentic 3-layer tea in Sarawak, taste was fantastic.

As for the authentic Penang Chee Cheong Fun, which have fried onions, sesame and with my favourite prawn paste that melted my heart. Love it very much despite it is pricey and portion is small too. I could bear with that because I hardly could find such item in Kuala Lumpur as the local serves sweet sauce which I do not enjoy it at all.

Will return to this place again one day.

Restaurant Seratus Tahun is indeed a good place for meal. Neverless, the food quality and taste had improved a lot comparable the long past visit i went.Of the famous of this restaurant is the curry mee which is a signature dish of the shop. The curry mee is the usual curry mee where you can choose with mee, or bihun, some prawns and tau kua as well as bean sprout as well. Though is not as nice as my favorite nyonya curry mee, but the taste is very delighting as well as it is hard to find a tasty Penang food in KL. I love the santan soup with the fresh prawns and everything.

The sweet and spicy shrimp paste sprinkled with generous crunchy peanus’definitely the winning attraction of the dish. Melts wonderfully in the mouth, it’s one of the best rojak paste I ever tasted. The fruits’ fresh too and the mango’s not too sopur! Perfect for weight-watchers.
