They serve succulent poached chicken drenched in soy sauce and oil that will leave your mouthwatering at the thought of it. The steamed chicken was cooked so well that it had the texture of kampung chicken, firm and juicy. Dishes goes well with their ginger paste and chilli dips. You can choose to have full blown Ipoh-style chicken rice meal with crunchy beansprouts or a simple bowl of hor fun. Besides, they serves oil rice which is a must when you are having chicken rice. My meal is best ordered with blanches bean sprouts and meatball soup.

All prices around RM5.00 to RM 15.00.Price on menu is included with GST.
They also serve some of the best sides for chicken rice in the country, in the likes of braised egg and tofu, fish and pork meat and intestine, not to forget their meatball soup is what I always have to order ( cost around RM 1.00 per ball ).

Since I have tried the dry wan tan mee here before, and they add in curry sauce which was quite nice, I wanted to try their soup version. I ordered one, and it came in a jiffy. The noodle was cooked a bit too long, making it slightly soft, but still OK. The soup has quite a bit of MSG, but that it quite expected. There were some slices of char siew in it, and some meat balls as well. Slightly salty and priced at RM5, it was a decent price to pay for lunch.

Ordered the tom yum noodles as it looked very appetizing when I see it served to another table. The dish was surprisingly very nicely decorated and arranged. The fishball was very big, bouncy and fresh. The dish also has some seafood which includes squids and prawns. The tom yum soup is the bomb. It is very spicy with the perfect level of sourness and very flavourful as well. I ordered for the bihun version of this dish which suits this dish very well. The wan tan mee in this restaurant is quite special as its specialty is the curry gravy poured over the wan tan mee noodles.I enjoyed the strong flavour of the curry added with the sweet and savoury sauce of the wan tan mee. The wan tan mee are quite delicious as well as the noodles are very loose. However, I do not like the dryness of the BBQ pork, as it lacks the caramelized fat which defines a BBQ pork. The pickled green chilli is crunchy and delicious which goes well with the noodles. For RM5

Ordered the famous chicken rice from Restoran MeiSek as it is very famous and highly recommended. I have never tried their Roast Pork and their Duck meat so I gave it a try. This dish did not disappoint at all. The roast pork was very delicious as it is crispy on the crust and it has some fat underneath followed by lean pork meat. The roast pork was very flavourful and perfectly salted. The duck was also flavourful and delicious although I find it a little ordinary compared to the high standards

Highly recommended and worth the good reviews from many before me.

The Wan Tan Mee in Mei Sek seemed always popular and due to that, I ordered one. I ordered a large Wan Tan Mee, but the seller recommended me to douse some curry sauce on top of it, and so I agreed. The wan tan mee here is seriously large, until I nearly could not finish it. The added curry sauce gives the dish a strong flavourful taste. The wan tan is decently filled with minced pork, and it is quite tasty. The noodles were cooked well, firm as I like it. However, I find that the noodles were t

As with all Pan Mee in Klang Valley, The Pan Mee at Mei Sek can be ordered with either the hand-torn noodle or the machine cut ones. I opted for the machine cut ones, as I always find that hand-torn can be inconsistent, thus causing some thicker parts of the noodles still uncooked. When the noodles arrived, it comes with deep fried anchovies and chilli of course. When the noodles arrived, it comes with deep fried anchovies and chilli of course. I like my Pan Mee mixed with everything, as pictured. The anchovies were not very fresh, as it was slightly chewy. The chilli however, was the star of this dish. It was spicy and sourish, and once I mixed it in the soup, it made the soup very appetizing. The noodles here are very wide even though it is machine cut, compared to what I am used to. Regardless, I have no qualms as the noodles are evenly cooked.
In this bowl of Pan Mee, there is also the standard ingredients such as minced pork and sliced mushrooms. For RM4.00 this is a standard bowl of Pan Mee apart from the exceptional chilli.

The rice was a bit on the less oily side than usual, but that is fine if i mix with their soy sauce. The roasted pork was delicious as well. It has a nice crunchy layer of fat on the pork, coupled with the lean part of the pork. For RM7, it was a satisfying and scrumptious meal.

The porridge here is quite interesting as there are many types of porridge which you can order, ranging from pork innards porridge to fish porridge. The porridge I ordered is the fish porridge which costed me RM5.30, which includes the porridge itself and a bowl of yao cha kwai (Optional with RM0.70). The fish porridge did not take long to arrive, but when it did, it was piping, boiling hot. I actually have to take a little more time to finish this bowl of porridge due to the heat. This bowl of p

This bowl of porridge is relatively small to what I am usually accustomed to, even though the price is not exactly cheap. However, the first sip of the porridge tells me that it is actually very delicious! The fish was very smooth, without much of the fishy smell. The porridge was also cooked until smooth and thick, making it filling. Added with a dash of sesame seed oil and pepper, it makes the porridge much more flavourful.

The only blot of this meal is that the yao cha kwai is not fresh anymore, as it is chewy and cold. Soaking it into the porridge is the only way to eat it, as the yao cha kwai is bland and cannot be eaten on its own.

The soup noodle is interesting to say the least. The soup is slightly spicy. When eating, be sure to add with some of the squeezed lime juice mixed in fried chilli seeds. It complements the dish greatly, although it may be a little too spicy for some. The bowl of noodles remind me of the famous Vietnamese Pho, without the beef because the soup has a strong flavour of basil. The noodles are nothing special, but complements the soup well.

The bowl comes with congulated pork's blood, minced pork and pork balls, making it a very 'porky' affair. For RM5.00 (large), it is highly value for money and I will definitely come again when I have the craving.
