I am not a fan for cream cakes, the type which leaves you bloated. But the Vanilla Butterscotch Cake is really different. It is a vanilla cake with butterscotch cream and topped with almonds and pistachio. The cake texture is really rich with vanilla flavour and dense. I like the butterscotch cream which is light but creamy and feels really buttery. The nuts added another dimension with their crunchiness and flavour. This is a cake that I do not mind returning for.

Pacific Coffee is a coffee chain from Hong Kong which is underrated. I really like their coffee which has a nice strong blend. Their Latte has just the right consistency of frothed milk and the espresso still retains its charateristic bitterness which few can achieve. The aromatic blend works so well that I do not need any sugar to enjoy my cuppa. And the brew is just bitter enough without being too strong. Good for any day.

I would usually pick a quiet café to study whenever there is a major exam coming up. This time, I picked Pacific Coffee in the newly opened Fahrenheit 88 Mall. As the name has it, this place is specialized in brewing coffee. If you are a smoker, you may enjoy the branch in Pavilion, near the Maybank, else, the Farenheit would be more comfortable for non smokers. I am not a good coffee drinker, so I prefer it light.
