I ordered the black sesame bun for sharing with my partner as we were quite hungry. The black sesame bun was quite unique to look at. When it first arrived, I thought they were rocks instead of buns. However, upon closer inspection I turned the bun around and found that there was a hole underneath the bun which I could fill it the pork mixture provided. The mixture was quite fragrant but salty, but after filling it into the fluffy warm sesame bun, I thought it tastes quite good. The sesame bun was a bit tasteless, but it was a little fragrant.

Taang Shifu is renowned with serving healthy food, which is a big plus for me. All in all, a delicious dish.

Nourishing soup with American ginseng. As part of the Groupon package, we ordered this nourishing soup with American ginseng. The nourishing soup came with black chicken, wolfberries and of course American ginseng. The American ginseng was slightly small in size and it was quite bitter. The soup was rich with the ingredients and I felt very nourished after drinking it.

Nourishing soup with ginseng. I bought a Groupon for this set. This nourishing soup came with a piece of chicken, wolfberries ("gei ji") and of course ginseng. The ginseng was indeed a big one and I took a bite of it, it was bitter. The soup was filled with ginseng taste. Together with the sweetness of the wolfberries. The amount of the wolfberries were a lot and I finish every single one of it.

Craving for some nice boiled soup, i headed to Taang Shifu. Taang Shifu serves really great chinese herbal soup. I order this mee suah that comes with dry scallops, abalone slices, chicken drumstick, "keiji" and some other chinese herbs that i'm not familiar with. The soup was sweet, light, and very nice to drink. I like the abalone slices, very sweet and nice texture. But i don't really know the name of the abalone slices, because this is not the real abalone. I think is made from scallop. But

The only complain is the chicken drumstick. The drumstick actually tasted dry and rough, perhaps boiling too long in the soup. The mee suah was excellent. Nice and springy and doesn't have the flour taste.

Tang Shifu is a nice place for family dinner, it sort of providing a healthier choice of dishes, and the benefits of consuming the dishes are stated on the menu itself. Very fun to read on. We ordered the Steamed Aubergine with X.O. Scallop Sauce, a very flavourful dish. The eggplants are sauteed till soft and fully absorbed the aromatic X.O. scallop sauce. I found myself non-stop eating this, very tasty to go with plain rice. It can prevent illness and regulate blood pressure too. How great. We

Dry scallop brown rice porridge with huaishan set (RM13.90). I ordered this as I prefer something light, and I super love mulberry and this set has a lot! Only order this if you are brown rice person. The scallops was tiny but not fishy. Quite a healthy food. The 2 side dishes i.e braised pork and black bean was so-so only, bland and nothing special. I would omit this 2 side dishes and take the ala-carte porridge next time.
