continue reading

Bak Kut teh is one of the popular breakfast choices among Chinese. It used to be offered only in the morning but now, it is not only limited for breakfast, as you can have it during lunch, dinner or even supper. This is because some bak kut teh restaurant opens from morning until night, and Wing Hiong Bah Kut Teh is one of the examples. You do not have to wait for the next morning for your bak kut teh when you are craving for it before your dinner time.Their bak kut teh is thick and flavorful, and the shop is not stingy with the ingredients at all. The claypot is seen fully loaded with fat and lean meat, pork intestines, tau fu, fu zhok, and mushrooms, so full that they almost overflow. continue reading

I heard that Wing Hiong Bah Kut Teh is one of the best Bah Kut Teh in Klang, but in Sri Petaling seems like it is very slow to gain its popularity. I don't see much crowd in there most of the time. Besides the steaming pot of Bah Kut Teh, Steam Lala is highly recommended by the chef, so we give it a try. Steamed into perfection with chopped ginger and wine, the soup is very aromatic and light. I'm glad that they use fresh lala here, and it is definitely better than the house specialty bak kut teh. continue reading
