When picking a Korean restaurant to dine at, the largest factor affecting the decision is their banchan offerings. Korean House offers one of my favourite, and their close proximity to my home is a definite plus point. We would typically order one pork and one beef, and enjoy them sans rice, and fill up on banchan.Top favourites include:- Vegetable fritters: A tad too oily, but the payload of onions make it worth the carbs and grease... somewhat.- Brinjals: Super soft and sweet, but also very oil

When picking a Korean restaurant to dine at, the largest factor affecting the decision is their banchan offerings. Korean House offers one of my favourite, and their close proximity to my home is a definite plus point.

We would typically order one pork and one beef, and enjoy them sans rice, and fill up on banchan.

Top favourites include:
- Vegetable fritters: A tad too oily, but the payload of onions make it worth the carbs and grease... somewhat.
- Brinjals: Super soft and sweet, but also very oily - I don't get what's with all the oil.
- Omelletes: Eggs. What's not to like?
- Kimchi: Just the right balance of sour and "oomph". Mostly eaten with the grilled meats, wrapped in lettuce. Mmm.
- Oyster mushrooms: Just the right amount of saltiness, and yeap, a little too oily.
- Pumpkin: Always a favourite - heavy and not overly mushy. I could eat this all night long (and pretty much did).

Not a big fan of the kimchi radishes, or the coleslaw (sauce is too thick, I think they used fruit salad sauce).

Oh, and their meat is lovely too - but isn't that always the case with Korean restaurants?
