Wifey and I were quite intrigued by the Hokkigai Gold from the menu, hence we decided to order some to try. The rice is fluffy as usual, with a bit of vinegar taste. The Hokkigai is apparently surf clam, which is lightly boiled until the tip turns reddish in colour. The yellowish meat looks a bit bubbly, and it also had the crunchy texture of bubbles. Quite interesting, albeit a bit fishy. Probably not our most favourite item as it is an acquired taste, but it is worth a try.
