Imagine my surprised when my friend and I arrived at this quiet, hidden Japanese restaurant on a Sunday at lunch time. WHY!The whole place was empty, as if I booked the whole place.

The restaurant is located at Central Plaza, KL, just right behind Pavillion and next to Menara Standard Chartered. As far as I know parking charges is RM 6 per entry (weekends).

After further investigation, the restaurant just open about 3 months back and is mostly pack on weekdays (lunch and dinner). I reckon its mostly visited by office crowds, and since its so new, this hidden gem is not yet known to the general public.

First off, the place ambiance was simple and normal, but there is a quiet corner with sofa chair and open glass view. In addition, I realized there are a few rooms, probably the sitting tatami kind of rooms. (Was so hungry until forget take picture >.<).

I bought 3 Living social vouchers for the "salmon platter" deal, in which each voucher comes with a free flow of green tea, miso soup and a salmon platter. The original price was Rm 35 (a voucher), but with the deal is only Rm 10!~

The SALMON Platter.

1)First off, the deal didn't state what the salmon platter compose off besides they only use fresh salmon. But I have to say the sashimi was thick, fresh and delicious. You can see some fat marbling which further add on to the yummy experience!; unlike many other place where the salmon seems wash-off (After defrost taste; minimal salmon flavour) and not fresh.

2)Next to the sashimi, is a salmon sushi top with some cod roe?mentaiko? sauce. This I have to say was the most delicious out of the whole platter. A balanced of creaminess and slight smokey flavour, it was such a delight, and I chowed this down fast!

3)This was followed by a salmon maki and I believe roll with dried seaweed. Now the taste of this is grassy herby (dried seawood) and some might find it tad dry since some actually stuck on the throat. The taste of this I'm afraid might not be likable by some, and I for once finds it just so-so but still above average compared to many other franchised Japanese food chains.

4)Miso Soup and Green tea. The green tea is standard and so is the miso soup.

5) I have to add in that the salmon platter was an exact replica as the deal page picture. Super shock and Super satisfied!

We didn't order anything else from the menu, but a quick glance of it shows an array of usual, authentic Japanese cuisine with some unique hardly seen and fusion dishes as well. The price can be excepted as somewhat affordable and in within range with other usual franchised Japanese food chains (Sushi Tei; Pasta zanmai). Example below of one page of the menu for your own reference.

I bet the food comes out an exact replica!

We do regret not trying out the other food in the menu, but this has become an instant favorite place to us. Despite just sampling a few, but the huge array of dishes, affordable price, fresh and super yummy unlike many Japanese restaurant chain has make us vow to come back here soon!

The picture said enough and you JUST have to try it!

* Be aware that there is operation hours for lunch and dinner
* Be aware that weekdays lunch and dinner might be pack. *Make reservation*
