Decided to come here for tea time as we saw the flyer stating its Buy 1 Free 1 promotion from 3pm-6pm. According to this flyer, the promotion is only applicable to the red plates, and its limited to 5 free plates only. Each red plate costs RM 4.99.

We ate a few plates, namely the Assorted Mochi, Salmon Mentai, Mini Ebi Tempura and Futo Maki and Fried Tori.

Mochi is yummy as usual, we ordered two plates and managed to eat a few flavours such as black sesame, peanuts, pandan and red beans. Black sesame is the best among all this flavours that we have tried.

As for the Salmon Mentai, I feel that the Salmon slice on it is too thin as I can barely taste it. All I can taste was the mayonnaise sauce.

They weren't kidding when they say Mini Ebi Tempura, the tempura was indeed tiny!

There was not much difference on the Futo Maki. The taste was as usual.

Fried Tori is bite sized fried chicken. The fried tori that we gotten was cold, it tasted like overnight KFC. It will probably taste better when its still warm or hot, but for now, its horrible.

So, we ate a total of 6 red plates (expecting 3 plates to be free). However, when we went to the cashier, we were charged at original price! The cahsier claimed that the promotion is over. If the promotion is over, why is there still flyers on the promotion?!

In short, I'm so disspointed with the service and the food here.

Cheese Cake! OK Mar 30, 2016

Categories : Thai | Café | Sweets/Snack

During teatime, my friend and I came here and grab some cake.  We didn't know that all the cakes that they sell are cheesecake; and both of us weren't fond of cheesecake. But since we are here already, we decided one slice of cheesecake to try. We ordered the Chocolate Hazlenut Cheesecake which cost RM 12.05.

The Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake was very sweet. It is less sweet when it is eaten with the hazelnuts. The crust of cheesecake was dark chocolate, which made it quite nice. But overall, the cake was too sweet.Besides that, the wifi connection of this cafe was quite weak. It took my phone a very long time to be connected. We even thought that we were given the wrong password, but it was the right one.

Service wise, some barista was friendly, but some others weren't even smiling. As a result, we felt unwelcomed when we were being served by them  yuk

Yellow Submarine Smile Mar 30, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Burgers / Sandwiches

My boyfriend and I decided to have a light lunch today. At the same time, we also decided to have our lunch at myBurgerlab. Hence, we decided to order one set and we share. We ordered the Yellow Submarine (RM 18)and customised it a little because my boyfriend doesn't eat Pineapple, which is one of the ingredient for the burger.

It was taking a while for the kitchen to prepare our burger. Luckily, the waitress delivered us our fries. So, while waiting, we enjoyed the fries and the soft drink. We find that the Ice Lemon Tea was a little diluted even without ice.

Anyway, the Yellow Submarine tasted delicious still even without the Pineapple. We love the fact that the egg yolk is still runny. The runny egg yolk made the burger extra yummy!

Steal Deal! Smile Mar 30, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Halal

I came here to buy some pizza home and I was at the counter for quite some time. And nobody came to serve me. I had to go find the waitress myself. So, I guess there are lack of workers there.
Anyway, I wanted to order to Syok Sambal Personal Pizza as I passed by the poster just now. The poster attracted me because the pizza was RM 5 only and it looked delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of anchovies which is one of the ingredients of that pizza.

Thus, I ordered Tropical Crab and Hawaiian Sensation instead. At first, I thought the pizzas were RM 5 each too. but it turns out to be RM 6.90 each. The pizzas were quite dry and I think there isn't sufficient ingredients on it.

Upon ordering the personal pizza, I am entitled to add on either a can of pepsi or a bowl of mushroom soup for RM 1, which in my opinion is such a steal deal! Hence, I ordered a bowl of mushroom soup. The mushroom soup was delicious as usual  yummy

Overall, my visit here is satisfying.

Sushi Bonaza! OK Mar 28, 2016
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood | Group/Family dining

Sushi King's Sushi Bonaza is back! A wide range of sushi is offered at RM 3 per plate. Such a deal right? But wait! There's obviously a catch - its only for Sushi King's 2016 members. I was a member in 2015, but the membership expires every year and there's no renewal fee, which means I have to register as a new member every year and the membership fees is RM 20 per annum.

Anyway, both the salmon and unagi slices were very thin on its respective sushi.

The octopus was delicious!

There were very little mayonise on the fried tempura; almost close to none. Salmon roll was delicious!

The fried scallop was quite small, as compared to usual.

There were 3 of us and we had a total of 12 plates and 1 cup of hot green tea; which is RM 42.50 in total after all the additional taxes and charges.
