Drinks at Soprano Smile Oct 18, 2015   (Related Review)

Soprano has the perfect ambience for hanging out or having a celebration with loved ones here. I came here with my family tonight. They sang all of my favourite jazz and country songs.

I like variety of food and drinks here.

I ordered the Lefte Blonde (RM 22) which was light and sweet and girly.

My mother ordered the Pineapple Sunshine (RM 13.90) mocktail which was too sweet for me I thought it was supposed to be sour. I wonder why nned capineapple juices are always sweet whereas real pineapples are sour.

We also ordered the recommended barbecued pineapple-bacon (RM 22) which was so sweet and juicy. The sweetness of bacon was combined with the pineapples resulting in the greatest combination of all ages.

BBK Soon Kee Seafood  Smile Oct 17, 2015

I was quite hesitant on coming here because I read the blogs  which said this place is quite hot and also has a big crowd. Considering I was late, I thought that we should change to another place. Anyway, thank god I listened to my friend's advice finally as there were so many varieties of food here.

I tried the cute Marmite Baby Squid (RM 18) which were the best I have ever eaten. The marmite has absorbed into every baby squid. The squid was not hard too. I have never eaten this type of squid.

The Wine Steamed Lala (RM 15) was so tasty. There was not an empty shell inside too. I find the soup quite strong in terms of wine smell which is great but I did not like much but overall it is ok.

The Kam Heong Scallops (RM 15) were the cheapest and most delicious. Where can you find scallops for only RM 15? No where!

The Cheese Crab (RM 68) was so delicious. The cheese was not as cheesy and thick as the one at Tak Fok. The crabs are very hard and flesh. It is quite worth the price because 3 small crabs cost only RM 68.

The price of food here is very cheap and the most reasonable I have heard before. For things like squid and lala to cost less than RM 20, it is very surprising, more so, for an air-conditioned restaurant.

Dad even said that he would like to come here again!

I first saw this place when I passed through it, looking for Youmiqi. The name, Piano restaurant sounds unique.

The ambience is very romantic and a lot of couples go there for dinner. It is encouraged to go there a little towards 9 pm because there is a nightly live band at 9.30 pm. I like all the songs played too.

I ordered Blue Marine Cocktail (RM 26) which has a bit too much thousand island mayonaise. The name attracts me so I tried the cold prawns.

The grilled combo platter (RM 58) was quite tasty and came with all things pork, from the german sausage to pork parts. I ate a little of it as I was worried of getting fat. I do like the sourish salad.

The Cassata Siciliana Gelato (RM 20) was just incredible. It came in a triangular cake format. The gelato is heavenly and came with a burst of flavours. Muy bien! Most bloggers also mention this dessert which has beautiful art of dressing.

How can anyone have German food without beer. So I ordered the Franziskaner Natural (RM 31) which has a sweet taste like most German beers. The beer goes well with the saltiness of the sausages.

The price of food here is also quite reasonable for this ambience.

This place is seriously so far from PJ and it took almost 45 minutes to reach there! We were worried there would not be a table available if we come for dinner so we came for lunch instead.

We ordered the Herbal Tea Pot Soup (RM 32) which was my top favourite. I love the clear soup which was has strong flavours of the pork that was probably used to slow cook this. The pork parts used were incredible! The best part was that this soup was served in small tea cups which made drinking it more tasteful. This place is very creative in presentation.

I ordered the Spinach with Crabmeat Sauce (RM 19) which was so reasonably priced. In Chinese, this dish is called Moonlight Dish because of the 2 egg yolks. The sauce is thick, probably cooked using a lot of corn flour. The small pieces of crab meat so I feel this dish is quite worth the price.

Another dish I would have regretted if I had canceled and I almost did since I was worried there were too many dishes for the day, was the Mini Bun with Fish Fillet (RM 20). Despite being fried till crispy on the outside, the tenderness of the fish is retained. The buns were also soft and fluffy like cotton.

Salted Fish with Green Spicy Sauce (RM 34) was also so delicious. The strange part is that the Chinese name is called One Night Stand. The fish flesh was so succulent. The sauce was just nice and not too spicy but the best part was that it was sour enough which made me like it.

I am definitely coming back here for the Lemon Paku-pakis and other unique dishes. The price is also very reasonable because 4 dishes only totaled up to RM 115.55! I could not imagine eating steamed fish for RM 34 in today's world in a restaurant!

Since I was dressed in the colour of red and black of the ubiquitious flamenco dress colour today, I have decided to go to La Cocina Spanish Tapas restaurant.

We can get a set of 5 tapas at RM 60 or RM 62 but I didn't choose that because escargot is not listed.

I ordered escargot (RM 16.50) which was so tasty. The sauce was also creamy to be eaten with bread. There is also free flow of warm french loaf bread to be eaten with the range of tapas that comes with a lot of sauce.

I also ordered the Lamb Meatballs (RM 12.50) which initially, I did not want to order because I mistaken as normal beefballs. I normally don't like beefballs but when I knew it was lamb meatballs, I wanted to have a try. The lamb is quite tender and delicious too. I especially like the red tomato sauce.

The other tapa I ordered was the New Zealand Mussels (RM 12.90) which were big and tasty. The mussels were also easy to remove. My friend especially like the garlic sauce which was spicy.

The Cream of Mushroom (RM 9) was just normal. Too bad it didn't have enough mushrooms which I would have preferred. I still like the mushroom soup at Uno! better.

I like the Sangria (RM 17) which was quite tasty. The sangria is strong.

My friend ordered the Spanish Blizzard (RM 7.50) that contains orange, pineapple and other fruits.

I had the Crepes with Cheese (RM 9.90) which was too creamy. I didn't like it so I did not finish it.
