Since Seafood Porridge is one of the purported specialty here, I decided to give it a try.
The porridge is a far cry from ideal. For starters, the watering soup base does not have much flavor, relying solely on seafood ingredients to impart flavor. I found it necessary to add ground pepper to the porridge for better flavor.

I ordered a bowl of Eel Fish Balls Koay Teow Th'ng. There is also a dry version of this dish but I did not have the chance to try it this round.

I personally give a commendable endorsement of this place. The koay teow soup is just too good especially with the eel fish balls. Meanwhile, the price is very affordable despite its popularity over the years.

We ordered a serving of Braised Pork Belly With Preserved Vegetable & Rice. The bowl is reasonably large but mostly just filled with white rice. Actual dishes only make up a small portion.
The braised pork is reasonable in taste, thanks to the flavorful dark sauce which the pork is stewed in. The braised pork is also infused with sour taste of preserved vegetables. This dish includes a fried egg, but I think more should be provided.

While the commonly served nigiri sushi have raw ingredients as toppings, aburi style refers to toppings that are briefly heated using a blowtorch. Therefore, the toppings in aburi sushi are partially or fully cooked when served.

The overall verdict on the Assorted Roast Sushi is that the ingredients are reasonably fresh and well prepared. However in terms of pricing, I fail to appreciate how the sushi pieces stand out compared to the likes of Sakae Tei in order to command such price.

The dough of Roti Canai has nice starchy texture and quite fluffy. The fluffiness is due to dough tossing during the preparation process, similar to how pizza dough is prepared. Despite the thick size, the roti canai here does not use more oil than usual.
As you can see, the dough is very thick! Almost 1.5X larger than the ones from other stalls. For RM1.00, the price itself is a bargain!
