Chicken Maryland Cry Jul 02, 2012
Categories : Malaysian variety | Western variety | Food court | Pizza/Pasta | Bak Kut Teh

Coffee Island is located at Gurney Drive, Penang and serves various local delight as well as western dishes and is aimed to attract not just local but also tourist even those from outstation. The Chicken Maryland does not taste pretty normal but also have the ordinary side dish like mash potato, salad, sausage, onion ring, and some sauce. The dish is rather dry and even though the skin of the chicken is crispy crunch, it was lightly flavour. This is probably one of the disappointed food I had in Penang.

Found this in Vege Life Cafe in Taman Mayang. This is just normal portion, not that big that you cant finish and small till cant kill your hungry. There is not many ingredients in the soup, that's why i said the portion is just normal. For the soup, there is very strong herb taste, cant really feel that i was having bah ku teh, is more to herb soup. It taste not bad but quite disappointed because this is not taste bah ku teh.... This cost RM9.9, expensive sad

Har Mee Cry Jul 01, 2012   (Related Review)

The Har Mee (Prawn Noodle) here wasn't my wise choice after all. The soup is spicy but without the aroma of prawn. There were only so little small prawn that I can count the number of it. The other ingredient were slice egg, vege, fishball. It feels and look like it came from "instant packet" and taste wise was disappointing. Nothing much to shout about and this is not your typical har mee.

Not that this place may seem to be like a mamak, it serves alcohol. Besides that it also serves food from local delight to western dishes. The Kong Po Chicken with Rice tasted normal with an overly sweet kong po sauce which I think is from bottle, the chicken doesn't taste fresh either. Portion is big but without a really decent side dish to go with, it isn't even important if there's no rice with it.

Salted Fried Chicken Rice Cry Jun 29, 2012
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Taiwanese | Restaurant | Noodles | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Little Taiwan serves Taiwan based dish with a twist to suit the bigger group of Malaysian.

The taste of Salted Fried Chicken Rice is rather poor. The pop corn salted fried chicken is rather over salty but it I like the bite size of the chicken. The rice is rather clumpy and the sauce was very light in taste. The dish was poorly presented and the taste aid in any manner it opening the appetizer.
