Latte

To accompany along the meal, hot latte would be the pick! As the conventional good cup of latte goes, it’s nicely adorn with some rosetta –shaped art design, on the floating milk foam, for some visual effect lol The coffee aroma is agreeably captivating and smells good, must be thanks to the good quality of coffee bean used. If taken like that, one might feel bit bitter, therefore, could opt to add in some brown sugar to tame the taste a bit lol Besides , the accompanied less-sugar biscotti would also be able to spice it up.

Thanks to a friend that introduces us to this cosy café with some warm ambience to accompany especially at night. It was the weekend where my Penang buddy came down for a short visit in KL, while anticipating for great epicurean adventure lol

The set-up of the interior is more to brick and vintage style, where you get to see pictures of the famous oldies stars, gracefully hanging nicely on the wall. With some dim light, it creates a soothing atmosphere which is perfect environment when chilling out with friend, though it’s not very spacious. If you prefer to have some privacy, then you may proceed to the further part of the café which is nicely lighted up with some adorable candles surrounded by coffee beans.

Hong Kong Iced Lemon Tea

The first sip of this refreshing drink actually got me in surprise. It’s not often that we get to taste a good and true Iced Lemon Tea over here. Only later did I know that it’s actually of Hong Kong style whereby the tea powder is actually brought in from the original country itself, before mixing it with some lemon slices. Therefore, the drink is really nice with a pure sensual taste of lemon zest which is truly amazing, not just merely a mixture of tea bag with the citrus fruit only. Besides, it’s really thirst-quenching as well.

Fried Broccoli topped with Crab Meat

This dish actually looks bit soupy to me and surely good to go with some white rice. The broccoli has been blanched earlier before topped off with the starchy eggy sauce so that the crispness of the fresh vegetables is still retained. Therefore, the green is very crunchy and sweet in the crab-rich sauce, besides pairing well with the chunky bites of fresh crab meats, which is indeed very hassle free for crab lovers! lol

Llooks like another worthwhile discovery at Ampang area, which seems to house quite a lot of gastronomic adventures waiting to be unveiled slowly. The dining experience at Eastern Crab, which bolds itself with the signature XXL Sri Lankan Mud Crab, is definitely an eye-opening indulgence as far as crab menus are concerned.

Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll be awed by their bright and comfortable setting, with some colorful balloons as decoration to liven up the atmosphere. It surely also seems like an ideal place for the kiddos when the hyperactiveness of these brothers, catches our attention instantly, with their cutesy smiles too.

But of course, these cigars are not for their toys, for sure! tongue

The restaurant owner is very thoughtful too, to have prepared a menu card, specially dedicated to Open Rice team, besides the other chromatic embellishments too. Owh, surely, everyone is smitten by the hospitality even before we are to be mesmerized by their dishes lol
