Lovely Thai Food Smile Jul 31, 2012

Categories : Thai | Restaurant | Seafood

A bit of Thai food craving brought me up to this shop.

Lovely red tom yam soup with seafood. The portion is enough for two. With lemongrass and other spices, the aroma was just lovely, and went well with the rice~

I heart the pandan chicken. Tender and juicy, full of pandan flavour. Its RM10 thought for 4 pieces which is expensive in my opinion. It was nice itself without the chili sauce.

White rice at RM1.50 per plate, not refillable.

Their butter prawn, fried with egg crisps. The saltish egg crisps was lovely, and there were many prawns of medium - large size, It was fresh, and did not have any icky taste. The egg crisp went along very well...Just wondering where the butter went tongue RM15.

Take note though, they charge for EVERY SINGLE GLASS of water. We asked for cold water refill, and they charged us for another glass instead of just a topup. Expensive, a once in a while splurge, if you ask me smile

A nice lunch Smile Jul 31, 2012

So one fine day, we weny yo Sup Pedas Kaajang for lunch.

Their interior, simple but nice deco. The owner greeted us, was courteous(which is really important!)

The lunch dish, pork knuckle in vinegar. The most ex dish at RM10 but also the nicest. The vege was yummy, portion was big. The pork was all lean meat( we requested) and the hard boiled egg added the extra "kick".Yums

Their famous hot pot port. I found it too spicy for my liking, even after they said they had reduced the amount of spiciness. But a good dish if you're not afriad of spiciness.

Loved the bitter gourd soup, with some meat slices and vege and ginsend in it. All the lunch sets are less than RM10, and for pork and vege and soup -I think you cant go wrong. Lovely place.

Sakae Sushi @ IOI Smile Jul 11, 2012

I love Sakae sushi, and this is a place I always frequent.

Their hot green tea. More expensive than other places at RM2. Tastes slightly different, its as if they added something to the green tea.

Their monthly special, some sea eel in cheese. RM12.50. This was lovely, with deep fried crispy breadcrumbs outside, and sea eel with cheesy cheese inside. Melts in the mouth, and the crispiness was just lovely.

My all time favourite, deep fried scallops.

As you can see, the scallop is fully scallop and not much of flour. The is a little mayo blot on top that adds to the sweetness. Eaten hot, the crispiness and the scallop flavour just feels like how good music is to the ear.

Wang Jin Pan Mee OK Jul 11, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Wang Jin pan mee has a simple interior, but staff are attentive enough for my preference.

The simple but air conditioned interior(important ok! can eat in comfort)

This is their golden pumpkin pan mee, traditional style. While I can't say there was much difference between normal pan mee and this "pumpkin" pan mee (RM0.50 Extra), the pan mee was average tasting, with your normal vege, ikan bilis and the likes. The soup was not too saltish, and the ingredients was ok, but nothing to shout about.

Share Tea @ IOI Mall OK Jul 11, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Share Tea is the newest (one of the newest) members to add on to the beverages specialist bandwagon. I must say they are equally good, if not better.

The shop at IOI Mall.

This is the classic milk tea (With red tea) and pearls by share tea, its RM5.90 for the small cup. I chose less sugar and less ice, 80% sugar was still a little too sweet for me. The red tea was nice, not too milky that it is overwhelming. The sago / pearls are always nice, and was chewy and sticky, the way pearls are smile
