This bowl of wantan appears to be quite small in portion for RM6.90, which is supposed to come with noodles. I asked for just the wantan as add-on so I thought the price is going to be less. Instead, without even telling me, the worker billed me the exact price of the wantan noodles. It didn't matter if the wantan is bigger, at least it's worth it. But in fact, the stuffing inside the wantan is not worth the money as it's not filling at all. The soup was quite tasty at first but as I drink it down (because it's not filling), it became saltier and pepperish, which reminds me of MSG. In less than 10 minutes, I felt super thirsty. Not a place to go even for a decent hawker selection. Do avoid. continue reading

Another dish which I have tried at EAT. is the Dry Minced Meat Noodle. The restaurant is self serving, so this ensures that waiting time is never too long as the customers have to queue up to make their order and then proceed to collect their food next to the cashier. We could see how the dish was made in front of our eyes. The noodle in this dish is actually quite springy and cooked quite well. The mushroom served was quite nice and juicy as well. Unfortunately, that is all that is good about this dish. The minced meat lacks flavour and tastes a little stale. The sole fried wantan in the dish does not have much filling and the dish only has a single leaf. It also comes with MSG laden soup.I don't think I will order this dish anymore. continue reading

My colleague highly recommend the minced meat noodle in EAT. This dish is from Singapore. The handmade noodles is tasty, it is smooth and springy. The fishball is very fresh and bouncy, it does not have the fishy taste. The fried "sui gao" is nice, the meat inside is quite tender. The minced meat not much taste but goes with the sauce, it is perfect. The sauce is combination of vinegar and chili paste. You can request for more vinegar. It is a very appetizing meal. I have ordered kopi-o. It is quite "kao" and slightly sweet.RM10.90 for this set. Note: It does not have service charge, it is self-service. continue reading
